The Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program

Call for Postdoctoral Fellowship Applications 2018-19

The Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program is designed to transform Israel’s scientific landscape, dramatically expanding its talent pool by attracting excellent postdoctoral researchers from leading universities in the United States and Canada. Zuckerman Scholars will join the faculties of the Hebrew University for postdoctoral training and research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. 

Funding: Each Zuckerman Postdoctoral Scholar will be awarded initially $50,000 per year for two years, with $36,000 per year devoted to living expenses, and $14,000 per year allocated for research ($10,000) and travel ($4000) expenses.

McDonnell Foundation Post Doctoral Fellowship Program in Studying Complex Systems

James S. McDonnell Foundation Complex Systems program supports scholarship and research directed toward the development of theoretical and mathematical tools that can be applied to the study of complex, adaptive, nonlinear systems.

Funding:  $200,000 for 2 and no more than 3 years.

Netherlands Organisation (NWO) Fellowships for Junior Scientists (COFUND)

Co-financed by Marie Curie COFUND, the 'Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research'(NWO) offers fellowships within the 'Rubicon program'.

Researchers of all nationalities and all scientific areas, who have conducted scientific research at an academic research institute in the Netherlands for a period of at least three years within the five years directly preceding the submission deadline, can apply to spend up to two years at a top research institution outside the Netherlands.

JBC Post-Doctoral Fellowship

The Jerusalem Brain Community (JBC) builds upon Hebrew University‘s record of excellence and innovation in its multidisciplinary approach to brain sciences; seeing great importance in enabling post-doctoral researchers to be part of its flourishing research environment and community. JBC post-doctoral Fellowships enable Fellows to devote themselves exclusively to their research with the purpose of reaching scientific and professional independence.

Funding: Up to $20,000, for a period of one year, with a matching sum provided by the fellow's supervisor.

Edmond and Lily Safra (ELSC) Post Doctoral Fellowships in Brain Science

The aim of the Edmond and Lily Safra (ELSC) Fellowships for post doctoral training in Brain Science is to support Post Doctoral training of students at the outstanding ELSC laboratories in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Call for Proposals - IUI Postdoctoral Fellowships 2016-17

The Interuniversity Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat, Israel (IUI) invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship starting 1 October 2016. The Fellowship is open to candidates in all marine disciplines, with a preference for candidates who intend to focus on field studies. Applicants are required to have a host who is an IUI-affiliated resident or non-resident researcher (see list of researchers at the IUI web page)

Funding: IUI will provide NIS 54,000 per annum (50% of the total fellowship - approx. $28,000 under current exchange rates). 50% of the fellowship or more  will be provided by the host.
