Call for Postdoctoral Fellowship Applications 2019-20

The Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program is designed to transform Israel’s scientific landscape, dramatically expanding its talent pool by attracting excellent postdoctoral researchers from leading universities in the United States and Canada. Zuckerman Scholars will join the faculties of the Hebrew University for postdoctoral training and research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. 

Funding: Each Zuckerman Postdoctoral Scholar will be awarded initially $50,000 per year for two years, with $36,000 per year devoted to living expenses, and $14,000 per year allocated for research ($10,000) and travel ($4000) expenses.

McDonnell Foundation Post Doctoral Fellowship Program in Studying Complex Systems

James S. McDonnell Foundation Complex Systems program supports scholarship and research directed toward the development of theoretical and mathematical tools that can be applied to the study of complex, adaptive, nonlinear systems.

Funding:  $200,000 for 2 and no more than 3 years.

Netherlands Organisation (NWO) Fellowships for Junior Scientists (COFUND)

Co-financed by Marie Curie COFUND, the 'Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research'(NWO) offers fellowships within the 'Rubicon program'.

Researchers of all nationalities and all scientific areas, who have conducted scientific research at an academic research institute in the Netherlands for a period of at least three years within the five years directly preceding the submission deadline, can apply to spend up to two years at a top research institution outside the Netherlands.

Edmond and Lily Safra (ELSC) Post Doctoral Fellowships in Brain Science

The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Hebrew University Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnolog¬y (HUCNN), is a center of scientific and technological excellence.

The center fosters top-notch cross-disciplinary research from different faculties and fields including chemistry, physics, engineering, life sciences, agriculture, pharmacy, and medicine. HUCNN's 85 PI members show great achievements, as evident for example by the hundreds of papers published annually in leading journals, unprecedented number of patents and research grants (e.g. over 25 ERC grants), research prizes and startup companies that were incubated with the aid of the HUCNN's innovation atmosphere.

Funding: Each Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Postdoctoral Fellow will be awarded initially $50,000 per year for two years: $33,000 stipend devoted to living expenses, and $12,000 for housing support, and $5,000 for research.

IASH Postdoctoral Fellowships for Foreign Researchers in Israel

The Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities is pleased to announce two-year postdoctoral fellowships for excellent foreign researchers in the amount of $45,000 per fellowship per year. The fellowships will be awarded to outstanding scholars in the fields of natural sciences, exact sciences, medicine, life sciences and engineering.

Funding: The IASH will fund $22,500 of each fellowship and at least $22,500 matching from the HUJI host supervisor.
