Program Details:
With our MA in International Development, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem invites you to take a leading role amongst the champions of disadvantaged communities around the world, helping them progress towards better futures for themselves and for generations to come.
Technology advances in areas such as communications and transportation are connecting all corners of the earth as never before, with global and local processes greatly impacting one another. However, many communities are not able to benefit from these transformations, quite the opposite, as they are not equipped to deal with the challenges and uncertainty they face.
Hebrew University’s MA in International Development will provide you with the in-depth theoretical knowledge needed to translate academic research of community development into action. Over the course of the 18-month program, you will study alongside fellow international, Israeli and Palestinian students, take part in courses such as “Development and Global Health”, and “Development Economics: Principles and Application”, and learn how to help communities apply this theory to improve their economic independence, sustainability, community cohesion and more. You will also gain hands-on experience through a 4-month internship spent with international organizations working with local communities across the world.
