What?

Propose, initiate and organize intercultural activities to connect local Israeli and international students.

Why?

Global Campus: Help bringing our campus to life with international interactions. Local and international students meet, creating enriching, cross-cultural experiences.
Cultural Skills: Develop vital intercultural abilities for global collaboration.
Leadership Growth: Boost organizational and project management skills for your future endeavours.

How?

Submit your candidacy to one of the four international tracks:

International Cultural Events and Activities:
Initiate and produce cultural events and programs, aimed at bringing International and Israeli students together (e.g. International meals, international education days, organizing speaker sessions, activity to celebrate HUJI’s 100 year anniversary, etc).

International Semi-Academic Activities:
Coordinate international academic programs, aimed at bringing International and Israeli students together (e.g. English Coffee Hour, language tandems, etc.).


International Marketing and Outreach Activities:
Join us in our various international marketing activities (e.g. representation in education fairs and school visits, campus tours, social media, etc.).

Free Style:
Surprise us with your original idea on how to promote international activity at HUJI.

Who Can Apply?

All Hebrew University students who have IDEAS for intercultural projects and are passionate about international and intercultural interactions, are interculturally sensitive, and wish to contribute to making the Hebrew University an internationally friendly and inclusive community.

Note that you can apply with a partner/s if you think that the program is a large-scale project and requires teamwork. Depending on the needs, the scholarship may be divided between partners.

Project Requirements.

  • Should contribute to the Internationalization of the campus
  • Should involve local and international student
  • Implementation timeline: Academic Year 2024-2025 

Funding?

Students will receive a one-time scholarship of 6,000 NIS for the period of February -July 2025.

Participation Requirements:

  • Students will be expected to contribute 100 hours, including training, during the period of February – July 2025.
  • Student activity will be under the guidance and supervision of dedicated International Office staff.
  • Students will be required to participate/report on a monthly basis depending on the nature of the project.
  • The winners will be required to present their projects at a poster event held by HUJI’s International Office at the end of the academic year.

What to Submit?

  • Project Proposal - describe your fantastic project idea and why you are the right person to lead/participate in the project (1 page, in English, stating your choice of track).
  • CV (in English)- please include any university scholarships that you already receive.
  • Letter of recommendation from HUJI faculty member/employer.

Submission is via the EKMD system here.
Relevant unit: International Office.

Deadline: 5 January 2025
Relevant applicants will be invited to an interview in January 2025.
