The Hebrew University stands in solidarity with our students during these challenging times. Here's how we're offering additional support:

1️⃣ Financial Aid for Students in Affected Areas:

  • A grant of NIS 2,000 is now available for students residing near the Northern or Southern border areas, who have been evacuated due to the ongoing war.
  • The grant extends to those who relocated to the vicinity of our campuses, provided they or their parents originally reside near the Northern or Southern border areas.
  • This is in addition to the existing NIS 2,000 grant for students from the Hebrew University community currently serving in the army reserves.
  • To apply, please visit: Grant Application.

2️⃣ Support for Exchange Students:

  • A special fund has been established to assist Hebrew University's outgoing exchange students who were studying abroad on October 7 for the fall semester 2023 at partner universities around the globe and were required to return to Israel before the end of their studies for reserve duty (Tsav 8), for bereavement of family members and additional family and personal emergency situations.
  • Eligible students can receive a one-time grant of 2000 NIS to help cover the costs of their early return to Israel.
  • To apply for this grant (deadline December 31, 2023), please visit this link.

At Hebrew University, we're committed to ensuring that our students receive the support they need during these unprecedented circumstances. Our thoughts are with all those affected, and we encourage eligible students to make use of these assistance programs.
