Three esteemed researchers from the Hebrew University have been awarded prestigious research grants by the European Research Council (ERC).
Application Deadline: June 3, 2024
Fields of ResearchThe call is open to all disciplines of scientific activity.
Research Project LocationThe activities can take place in Italy or in Israel.
FundingThe Vigevani Research Foundation will award one Research Project Prize of $15,000. Funding will be allocated to the HUJI partner.
Application
The joint proposals should include a faculty member of an Italian University/Research Institute and a faculty member of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The application should include the following documents:
– A description of the scientific research project indicating clearly the importance of the collaboration between the Israeli and the Italian scientific institutions and the duration of the project.
– CV of each Principal Investigator of the Israeli and Italian faculty members, including a short list of important publications in the field of the research project.
– A detailed financial budget with details on the distribution of the expenses for the total amount.

The full applications should be submitted as one pdf file to the HUJI International Office, Alma Lessing, International Partnerships & Development via Email: almal@savion.huji.ac.il
Evaluation and Notification of Results
The applications will be peer reviewed by an internal expert committee, under the jurisdiction of the Vice President for International Affairs of the Hebrew University, according to scientific merit and the criteria of excellence of the joint projects, researchers and added value to HUJI-Italian collaboration. The winning application(s) will be selected by a joint committee composed by Hebrew University and Italian Friends of HU representatives in accordance with the above.
Notification of results will be by August 2024.
Reporting Requirements
At the termination of the project, the researchers are required to submit a detailed report, including the results and a financial report.
