Hebrew University invites you to a unique, challenging and enriching study experience: a semester- or year-long exchange abroad! With over 100 options to choose from, you’ll spend a semester or year at a university abroad, taking academic courses that will be recognized by Hebrew University. You’ll continue to pay tuition to Hebrew University as usual, and will be waived all tuition fees at the host university.
Take a look at the testimonials; you’ll hear from students who have returned from exchange programs across the globe, describing their experience as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be immersed in a different culture, improve their English skills (and, in some cases, additional languages), make lasting friendships with international students. In addition, many view the opportunity to add an international study experience to their resumes as an important asset for their future careers.
You may be wondering if studying abroad is an expensive endeavor. A large part of this depends on the destination you choose. There are many countries where the cost of living is actually lower than in Israel. In addition, you’ll continue paying tuition to the Hebrew University as opposed to the host university abroad and, in some cases, this will lessen the cost significantly. Expenses you should take into consideration include a round-trip plane ticket, health insurance, a student visa, accommodations, food, local transportation, etc. Various scholarships are available, such as the Erasmus+ program, from host institutions in the bilateral exchange track, or additional scholarships that are listed in the annual Call for Applications.
