The Alexander Silberman Institute of Life Sciences and its Faculty

Founded in 1925, The Alexander Silberman Institute of Life Sciences is the oldest academic institute in Israel and one of the country’s foremost centers of scientific investigation. Located in the heart of the Edmond J. Safra campus in Givat Ram, our Institute is the largest of the 6 belonging to the Faculty of Sciences. Encompassing 74 research groups, our renowned scholars conduct ground-breaking research across a broad spectrum of fields including biotechnology & bioengineering, genetics, genomics & computational biology, ecology & environment and much more. In order to apply for our M.Sc. program, candidates must first identify an available position in one of the Institute’s research groups. This is typically done by directly contacting relevant Principal Investigators who are involved in an area of research that reflects your interests. In addition, applicants must submit proof of:

The MSc program in Applied Physics attracts students in pursuit of a path of study that integrates physics research with technological development. Designed to allow students to deepen their scientific knowledge in their field of expertise, the program offers hands-on experience with basic technologies in the chosen field, and provides knowledge in other branches of science and engineering that are relevant to their chosen field of expertise. Our MSc program offers four specialization tracks:

The Department of Applied Physics

Founded in the late 1960’s, the Department of Applied Physics is located on the Edmond J. Safra campus at Givat Ram. Home to a cohort of innovative scientists and engineers, the Department is dedicated to expanding our understanding of natural phenomena and to harnessing this knowledge to advance applied science and technology and, ultimately, improve our lives.

The Applied Physics Department is at the frontier of physics research, engaging in the high-tech fields of nanotechnology, optoelectronics, microelectronics, and quantum technologies. It encompasses 12 research groups and several research centers, including nanofabrication, miniature integrated systems, and nanocharacterization. The Institute of Chemistry and its Faculty

Hebrew University’s Institute of Chemistry is the first to have been established in Israel. The Institute was founded by Andor Fodor, recruited by Prof. Albert Einstein, himself. It has since gained worldwide recognition as a center of chemistry research and academic excellence, boasting multidisciplinary programs that are designed to cultivate the next generation of our world’s leading chemists.

The Institute offers master’s students an opportunity to study and conduct research in state-of-the-art facilities under the mentorship of prestigious faculty, and to be a part of an institution renowned for publishing in top journals, and generating patents and intellectual property in a wide-range of industries.

The Institute of Chemistry is comprised of 34 faculty members and 20 active emeriti professors conducting research across all chemistry disciplines.   • A cumulative GPA of 80 or above. (Candidates with lower GPAs may be admitted only after formal review and approval by the program head).
  • An official transcript of studies from your bachelor’s degree.
  • English language proficiency as detailed in the application guidelines (TOEFL and IELTS are recognized).

The Jerusalem School of Business Administration and its Faculty

Hebrew University’s Racah Institute of Physics was established in 1970, and is named after Prof. Giulio Racah, one of the founding fathers of physics in Israel. Located on the Edmond J. The International StartUp 360° MBA program at Hebrew University’s Jerusalem School of Business Administration provides a unique opportunity for international students to immerse themselves in Israel’s acclaimed start-up ecosystem. Candidates from non-English-speaking countries must demonstrate a high level of English proficiency by providing one of the following documents:

The International Med-Tech Innovation MBA program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to successfully lead and manage a med-tech-oriented company. Taught by international experts and industry leaders, our Med-Tech MBA is the first University degree of its kind in Israel. Integrating academic, industrial and business knowledge into an innovative, top-notch curriculum, the program covers topics such as entrepreneurship, finance, digital health, healthcare IT, intellectual property, bio-design, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
